About the Counselor

My name is Kristin Dolph, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor in the state of Ohio and the owner of Dolph Counseling & Wellness, LLC. I graduated from Wright State University with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also obtained certification in Marriage & Family Counseling and Trauma-Informed Counseling while at Wright State University. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision.

I have experience working in several psychiatric inpatient facilities, emergency and correctional crisis assessment, intensive outpatient group therapy (IOP), and school-based therapy in several elementary schools. In addition to my practice, I am an Adjunct Psychology Instructor at Edison State Community College, an Adjunct Instructor at Wright State University, and an Adjunct Instructor at The University of Dayton in their Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate programs.

I believe in a holistic and wellness-based approach to my counseling practice. My theoretical orientation to counseling is a Humanistic-Gestalt perspective of connecting awareness with current symptoms. I help my clients of all ages see the connection between their emotions and physical sensations with awareness and acceptance. 

My mission is to break the mental health stigma in our community by helping people learn to view Mental Health as an integral part of their healthcare.
